simplify and harmonize of international trade procedures. These facilitators offer a range of specialized services to
facilitate trade transactions and protect the interests of their clients. Their
services help clients calculate and quote export prices, prepare and process
trade documents, pack goods for shipment, finance and insure shipments,
transport the goods, load and unload cargo, clear goods through customs, and
comply with legal and tax requirements.
According to Moffett, M.H. (1996) trade
facilitators generally fall in three specialty areas:
